Telethon for Flood Affected Pakistani Families - 2022

The Community Association of Pakistani Americans (CAPA) of Ohio has been at the forefront of providing assistance to the victims of the devastating floods in Jampur, Pakistan. Recognizing the urgent need to support those affected by this natural disaster, CAPA has undertaken a series of impactful initiatives to bring relief and aid to the affected families.

In collaboration with generous donors and supporters, CAPA has made significant strides in rebuilding the lives of the flood-affected families. A commendable effort was put into constructing 40 new houses for these families, ensuring they have a safe and secure place to call home once again. This initiative aimed not only at providing shelter but also at restoring a sense of stability and hope in the lives of those who have lost so much.

Furthermore, CAPA's commitment to alleviating the hardships caused by the floods is exemplified by the distribution of 700 ration bags to the affected families. These bags, filled with essential food items, served as a lifeline to families struggling to meet their basic needs during these trying times.

CAPA's relentless dedication and the collective effort of its members have resulted in approximately $80,000 being invested in these relief and rehabilitation endeavors. This financial support has played a pivotal role in facilitating the construction of houses, providing essential supplies, and bringing a glimmer of hope to those facing immense challenges.

Through these multifaceted initiatives, CAPA has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to standing with the flood victims and helping them rebuild their lives. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term recovery, CAPA has not only provided aid but also a sense of community and solidarity that is essential in times of crisis.

As CAPA continues to forge ahead, its actions serve as a shining example of the positive impact that a united community can have on those in need. The collective efforts of CAPA members, donors, and supporters have truly made a difference in the lives of the flood-affected families, fostering resilience and offering a ray of hope for a better future.
