CAPA's Response to COVID-19 Challenges

In the face of the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Community Association of Pakistani Americans (CAPA) of Ohio rose to the occasion with unwavering determination and compassion. Recognizing the critical need to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our community members, CAPA embarked on a mission to make a meaningful difference during these trying times.

Amidst the outbreak of COVID-19, CAPA's commitment to our community's safety and wellbeing took center stage. With the widespread shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), CAPA stepped up to the plate, mobilizing its resources to provide much-needed support. Understanding that protective masks were a crucial line of defense, CAPA raised funds to distribute a remarkable 50,000 masks nationwide. This initiative not only aimed to protect individuals from the virus but also served as a powerful symbol of solidarity and care.

In addition to masks, CAPA's dedication extended to addressing the pressing needs of vulnerable families. With economic hardships exacerbated by the pandemic, many found themselves in dire situations. Responding to this need, CAPA took the initiative to distribute 2,000 ration bags to families in need, spreading support and relief across our community. This effort, coupled with a compassionate gesture to support nationwide temples, exemplified CAPA's commitment to unity and inclusivity in times of crisis.
